Truth by its very definition is true. All truth that exists comes from God, whether it is spiritual, intellectual, or scientific. Truth is the opposite of error or falsehood. Anything that is not truth is error. Truth is absolute. It cannot change. There is not one truth for you and another for me. Truth is the same for every person that has ever lived. Until Lucifer sinned in heaven there was only truth. Before that time there were no lies told or deception practiced, but when the devil sinned he brought lies into the Universe. God cannot lie. It was by doubting God and exalting self that Satan started the chain of error that continues until God destroys evil and sin in the lake of fire. The Bible says that Satan is “the father of lies.” John 8:44. When Adam and Eve chose to believe Satan’s lie in Eden it brought the woe of error and falsehood into this world. This was not God’s plan but He had a plan to redeem the human race. When the Son of God came the world was at its lowest ebb, it was filled with darkness and error. So God sent His Son, the Way, the Truth and the Life, as the Light of the world, to save us and to show us what God is like. Error or falsehood is not absolute. It is limited only by not being true. Because of this Satan has unlimited ways of deceiving people. He uses whatever error or deception that will appeal to you. This is the reason why the are so many philosophies and religions in the world. Throughout history God has had men and women who uplifted truth in their time.
You may say, Does it really matter if I know what truth is? Think of how life would be if you could not rely upon the law of gravity or if you could not trust that your heart would keep beating even while you sleep. It is the same way with all truth. It is always better to know and implement truth in the life. Without truth you cannot be saved. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.”
The Bible is the book of truth. It is the infallible Word of God. Whether or not you believe it truth is still truth.
This website is an attempt at clarifying what is truth and what is error. We will try to dwell more upon the truth than upon error. In these last days of earth’s history it is especially important to be aware of what is the truth for this time. Jesus warned us (Matt. 24) of the many false prophets who would arise during this part of the world’s history. If truth does not matter why would Jesus warn so many times of the danger of being deceived. Obviously there will be many false teachings and erroneous beliefs in the last days. Jesus said, “Broad is the road that leadeth to destruction, and many there be that go in thereat.” Truth will always be less popular than error. But it’s all there in the Bible for us to know. It’s just that most of us do not spend much time searching out the truths of the Bible. Every truth in the Bible is a revelation of the character and love of Christ for us.
